The main purpose of the alkaline diet is to shift the body’s pH balance to the alkaline side and keep it there. Some of the food items that are called “forbidden” of alkaline diet are white flour, animal foods, alcoholic beverages, coffee and tea, white rice, chocolate, most of meat, fish and seafood, some nuts and fruits with high glycemic index. In general, the ideal of an alkaline diet is as follows: At least 80% of your diet should be alkaline and at most 20% acidic. This ratio will help you achieve a healthy pH balance between 07.35-07.45.

How should an alkaline diet be?

The transition to an alkaline diet should be seamless. In the case of diseases and special conditions, it should be determined according to the doctor’s advice. If there is a diet or diet that you do from time to time, it may not be very useful, a systematic approach is important here.
